Question 1
What is the difference between Krsna and Visnu?
In truth Krsna and Visnu are one. Both are the Absolute Truth, complete, and full of energies. Krsna, who is the personification of sweetness, is Visnu or Narayana in His opulent feature. Krsna has two arms and He plays the flute, and Visnu has four arms and carries a conch, disc, club, and lotus. Lord Visnu is full in sixty qualities and Lord Krsna is full in sixty-four. Krsna can attract Laksmi, but Narayana cannot attract the minds of the Vraja gopis, who are Krsna’s beloved devotees. Lord Visnu is served in two and a half rasas, or namely, Santa, dasya, and gaurava-sakhya (friendship with awe and reverence), but Lord Krsna is served in all five rasas (Santa, dasya, visrambha-sakhya [friendship with love], vatsalya, and madhurya).
